Remember 1988? Remember the Quo gigs that year? Remember the support band? No? Well, they’re back!

Always found Slayer a weird choice for an opener.

I remember them well. I still have the poster I blagged from Edinburgh Playhouse the next day and this lot are mentioned on it. I thought they were quite good and I did buy a 12" single called Other Side of Midnight. I actually can't recall what it sounds like now but this is the artwork I have for it on iTunes. Lots of hair

Always found Slayer a weird choice for an opener. Indeed. Mind you, was there any better support band for Quo than Dumpy's Rusty Nuts?

Thought Firehouse were good as well. Think that was around 91/92.

I remember Honeymoon Suite supported Quo in 1988. Saw them at the NEC. Decent live band, unfortunately not really suitable for a Quo audience. Firehouse best support act for me in 1992. Saw them at Sheffield Arena, great live band with more diversity than HS. Seem to remember both bands were from Canada.

Racing After Midnight is a great album, although the remastered CD version has a track missing, I saw them in Glasgow on the 1988 tour.
