Tango would not be on the list for most Latin-American Quo fans. Millions of voters will be neglected. Eleven years to the day that I went to see the Reunion at W/ton Civic I admit I quite like Tango. Even my arthritic knees can cope with a bit of a dance to that.

Out of a the list's I've seen, Mortified is the one I like the most, probably 'like' is the wrong word to use....an album I wouldn't play, but saying that,I would have to change Mountain Lady with Another Shipwreck.

I suppose if you are looking at the 12 Gold Bars collections all being top 20 hits. You can, unfortunately, come up with a 12 Ratners Gold Bars where songs released as singles failed to crack the top 20 …
1. Who Gets the Love – 34 2. Not At All – 50 3. Little Dreamer – 76 4. Rock ‘Til You Drop – 38 5. Sherri Don’t Fail Me Now – 38 6. Restless – 39 7. When You Walk In The Room – 34 8. Fun Fun Fun – 24 9. All Around My Hat – 47 10. The Way It Goes – 39 11. Mony Mony – 50 12. Old Time Rock & Roll – 78
Volume 2, should you wish is also attainable.

Well early days, but it's not looking good for Restless! Does anybody like it? What about a raucous live version? Just re-listened to Restless live at the Albert Hall from 1994, probably one Rossi's worst decisions (if it was his) to play that particular track live I reckon, does anyone wish to raise me?

Does anybody here have a list over all Rossi/Frost compositions? My gut feeling tells me that the majority of those songs probably would be strong contenders to my ”Worst 12 songs list”

For what it's worth, these are 12 Quo songs I will probably never play again. 1,000 YearsRestlessMountain Lady
I Love Rock And RollJealousyGoing Downtown Tonight (either version; you cannot polish a turd even with a guitar solo) Tommy's In Love (as above) Sorry
Tango
Sherri Don't Fail Me Now
Confidence
Beautiful
I'd have included I Wonder Why IF it was Quo that recorded it. I've never been sure. And I haven't included any from the covers albums or we'd be into Volume VII Not unexpectedly I suppose, half of them come from the Thirsty Work sessions. But the early 80's albums don't get off Scot free. Hand on heart, I don't think I could pick any tracks from the 70's. Heat isn't a great album but every track is better for me than anything I've listed here. Believe it or not I like all those songs. This highlights there are more than one type of Quo Fan. That said I love the Frantic Four period aswell. I grew up during the FF period, but love Quo during all their eras.

They actually played Restless on both the ‘94 and ‘95 tours. Going from memory about something that was posted on the old board, one gig on the ‘95 tour (Nottingham?) was the final straw for the audience regarding Restless and they gave the song as close to a zero response that Quo have ever had in front of their own fans. This apparently caused Francis to walk up to the microphone and bluntly tell the fans that “ I thought that was what you wanted from us now”.

Personally, I think that every album is terrible to a greater or lesser extent from 1+9+8+2 up to the release of Heavy Traffic. There is no way I could pick 12 songs from that lot, it would have to be a multi LP box set. It is interesting to see how few tracks there are from Heavy Traffic onwards on people’s lists.

I'd have to check but I think Restless might also be on that rehearsal nonsense from 1982. Not the official version but a bootleg I had. Then again, maybe I imagined it But, if it is, it had obviously been considered for quite a long time. They maybe had to wait until Alan left It's was a dreadful decision to cover it and an even worse one to play it live then release it as a single. For a start, it's not a good version of what was already (I think) an awful song. The original ( I'm Restless) was pretty naff anyway The arrangement of Quo's version is similar and is therefore totally unsuited for Frame's vocals. For me, it remains the absolute nadir of Quo's career. If Francis did say in Nottingham " I thought this was what you wanted to hear from us now", where on earth would he have got that idea from? It's not like they had a shedload of corny hit ballads behind them! There. I've said my piece. I'm over it now. Just

Restless was definitely played in 93 as a taster of something to come.
It’s also on the rehearsal tapes
It’s also fuxking abysmal

There's at least nine on Back To Back that would qualify.
