Aye, I quite liked the first 3 albums & even then I wasn't particularly a fan, but that was about it for me

Yes, Mortified, I think we both saw what was happening around the same time. I hung on for another couple of albums but Queen the rock band was over. Same. Gave 'em a couple of years but News of the World was the last Queen album I bought. I think it was their greatest hits album and then Radio Ga Ga/It's A Kind of Magic that transported them to another level popularity wise. Obviously, Live Aid didn't do them any harm either. I really just put it down to the band diversifying, which you certainly can't blame them for. Just not in a way that I was that keen on. They did OK without me

They did OK without me Jazz is still quite a heavy album if leaning towards the later pop rock sound they had.

Gave 'em a couple of years but News of the World was the last Queen album I bought. For me that's their best album. I love It's Late and Sheer Heart Attack. But for me Queen is like Thin Lizzy. I like both bands, but I can't stand a full album. Always have a song that I skip. And, as I said that before, I'm sick of "Queen this", "Queen that". It looks like there's only one rock band in the world. It seems to me, is the band that those who don't like rock, like, and those who like rock, don't like. Like Motorhead for punks and heavies.
