The 'men' and 'real men' thing was utterly cringeworthy even in 1982

Hmm, not a video I was ever keen on. They were always faux live or based round live. Very little innovation in a Quo video over the years! The bloke went on to bigger things I think - sitcoms and stuff - but I can't remember his name. Another one where I thought the single was OK but no more than that. First time I saw the video I think was on that Tiswas offshoot. The late night one. Can't remember the name of that either. Can't remember much, can I? Was it a cover? Or just a song they picked up on written by someone else. Like Jam Side Down. Never Quo's best single but a long way from their worst with what was round the corner!

Nice crunchy, melodic boogie.

Not a fan. Thought it a bit of a questionable choice as the first single they recorded after John was ousted.

… Thought it a bit of a questionable choice as the first single they recorded after John was ousted. Yeah I always wondered about the title too, was it a not-so subtle dig at John? Still not convinced it’s not.👀

Didnt like it back in the day but it has grown on me. I still think it sounds too poppy but its ok, sort of, just.

Ironically, perhaps, Quo Connection now perform the song & dedicate it to John, subsequent to them having been John Coghlan's Quo!

Love it
I think it gets off to a brilliant start, powerful and direct
I can't think of a single that came after it that I prefer.
