Okay I know the majority of fans didn't like the Perfect Remedy album, but I quite like it, and my favourite song from the album is The Way I am. I always thought it was greatly overlooked, and would have made a much better single than Not at all or Little dreamer.
The way I am has a catchy chorus, and chugs along quite respectively.
I know The power of rock for many fans was the stand out track, but it wasn't really single material, but I have always felt The way I am is that hidden gem.

I like the title track, catchy little riff and great guitar outro.

I had to play The Way I Am just now as I couldn’t remember the song at all and I now know why ,just pretty terrible and as a single I imagine it would have done worse than Not All All and Little Dreamer. Perfect Remedy and TPORR are decent but the rest of the album is a real struggle. All about opinions, there are lots of eighties Quo songs I like .

I just tend to think the songs really were not that bad on PR, it was the lame production that let it down. If you compare how much better Tommy sounded in 91,I think if Quo recorded PR in that way it could have been an amazing album. It just sounds so flat.

The way I am was my favourite when it came out. Could have been great with a heavier, punchier production.
Man overboard is my favourite.
I've gone off power of rock, at one time was very big on it

Another Pip Williams produced farce, Quo albums, simply put, are made or lost in the production, it only made No.49 in the charts too, but if I was put on the spot, it would be 'The Power of Rock' simply for the rocking play out (Confession time though...'Going Down For The First Time' I've always found rather catchy) Pip Williams (as mentioned elsewhere) sent Quo's career backwards continually (except for the 'WYW' album) The album Cover was pretty cool though, and the Tour was ever excellent

For this album I only have 2 contenders, Little Dreamer and Power of Rock. And that's it. I could like some other songs from there, like The Way I Am as I don't mind listening to that, but without a doubt, my favorites are those two.

I tend to change my mind as time passes on this one.
For many years it was Man Overboard but eventually that changed to the title track. Which I think it still probably is.
I was never a massive fan of The Power of Rock, although I can appreciate the obvious attractions given what surrounds it. The Voice was too fresh in the mind at the time and I think it should always have been discounted as a single for that reason. And it probably was. Incidentally, wasn't there an edited version as a B-side? Maybe it was briefly considered.
To be fair to Pip Williams, he hadn't finished producing the album when the record company decided to release it and he wasn't happy about that. It does sound very flat throughout. But, having said that, it may have improved the album slightly but the material was never going to be raised above the bland via the production alone.
It didn't reach no.49 because it was a below average album. That was more than likely down to the album which preceded it. And also the largely forgettable single, Not At All.

And also the largely forgettable single, Not At All.I will always remember what one of my work colleagues said, sadly no longer with us, but he wasn't strictly a Quo fan, but knew his music, and he said to me as he knew I'm a huge Quo fan, he said hey I just heard Quo's new single on the radio Not at all, so I replied did you like it? To which he replied, no its dreadful and will never be a hit, but I said Quo's singles never flop below the top 40,so I didn't really concider what he was saying would actually come true. I remember tuning into the top 40 run down on the radio that following Sunday, waiting patiently for Not at all to enter somewhere in the charts, because to be fair Not at all got decent promotion at the time, Radio 1 were playing it, and Quo we're on a couple tv programs playing it, but as we started getting up to number 10 in the run down, I'm thinking oh my God is my work colleague actually right? Then they announced the number 1, and to my horror Quo has had their first flop since the late 60's. Seems like my work colleague could instantly tell Not at all was a dud. Plus it seemed as though there wasn't enough loyal fans still around who were willing to buy it either, even if for collection sake, then Little dreamer bombed completely, I remember thinking is this the end of Quo, I couldn't imagine them carrying on flop after flop.

Yes. The first two singles were pushed and had good promo. Little dreamer even came with a sew on patch if I remember right.
I think the RC decided to cut its losses so didnt spend a penny promoting the album. I had to ask for it when I bought it. It's probably just as well not many fans bought it

Perfect remedy marked the beginning of my most intense period of being a quo fan which probably lasted till around 1999. Which is a shame as it was their shittest period.
I enjoyed the album as a 12 year old. I always liked the Melodies of Perfect remedy, address book, GDFTFT, and a few others although even back then I used to wonder where the guitars were.
Hindsight and age is a great leveller. It’s pretty crap isn’t it? Although I still enjoy the title track.
Haven’t heard the album in probably ten years
