Probably unfamiliar to most folks here - Barry Devlin's (Horslips) bass - designed by Charles O'Connor [the band's violinist, vocalist] and built by John Birch. Apparently it weighed like a grand piano - so it wasn't used 'Live' all that much! (Though it does feature on the cover of their 'Live' album!]

That Horslips live album would be great if it weren't for the dreadful bootleg-quality sound. What the hell were they thinking?

I got 26 likes on The Guardian comments and only one silly reply. The Super Yob got a mention as well. Sorry but I still think the aquordion had to be higher up that list.

The Guardian is a far left activists rag. Who cares what they say. I like a cross-section of opinions, even from far left activists

Ian Hunter's 'H' guitar, he said it was absolute crap and never stayed in tune. He never had it that long.

Peter Green's 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard, bought by this guy, and funnily enough, later by Kirk Hammett By the time that video was recorded, Gary had sold it. Here he's playing it:

Apart from Mr Rossi's and Mr Parfitt's, this was the one I literally worshipped when I were a lad.
Here is the great man in full flight from about 2 minutes in and also 3:50 in. Truly iconic to me, even if to no one else.
