Utter rubbish. Reckon this is probably the quo song Ive listened to least in their entire catalogue. Certainly the pre 86 stuff

I know I’m an old fart living in the past Quo fan. I always rate Quo after John was sacked on an out of 10 using the Quo iconic era. Weird I know. This one is a 2.

Never understood the flak this one gets
It's OK. Good intro, the song is built around a good riff but the song isn't very good. Always good to hear Alan singing

A flawed experimental track which didn’t quite work. Maybe could have done without the long intro, it has a nice melody but not one of Alan’s best efforts for the band to be honest.

Literally decades since I heard that song. And no, still a skipper for me! By this stage, the quality of Lancaster's song-writing output was gradually diminishing.

If find it enjoyable, got a good head nodding beat going, great singing and a nice guitar outro.
Great album cover and, for me, probably the best iteration of the band logo.

I don't dislike it as much as some. There were certainly worse tracks on what, for me, was my first proper disappointment with an album as a Quo fan. But that's faint praise I suppose. Packaging excellent; content so-so. Alan didn't contribute all that much to If You Can't Stand The Heat. Just this and one co-write with Mick Green. Neither were great. He hadn't been in Australia all that long and I imagine that was a factor when it came to writing for the album. But he certainly made up for it on the next two releases. I'll forgive him this one
