Little bit of a late comer to the part - first gig was in 1986 SFX centre Dublin so missed them in their prime. So lucky to be at the Dublin re union gig. Swore I would never see them again after that have stuck to my guns, seeing Francis and his session musicians just wouldn't be the same.
Shame they never did lies live - or have they and I'm missing something??

I don't know how I missed this thread before - blinked probably! But I was a latecomer (1982) to live Quo (which is the best and real Quo) and though I haven't been to a gig now for some years, for various reasons but not because I hate them) I regard them as my one long-time band and will never forget. (In that respoect they have pipped Led Zep, the Beatles and the Stones.) I feel lucky to have been alive during the 60s and 70s and following, and doubly lucky to have encountered Status Quo in that time.
While I very broadly agree that the reunion gigs might have benefited in some way from including ROLD (as there is nothing in this world that can't benefit from including ROLD), by that time Francis was not paying ROLD the respect it deserves (which in its own way contributed to the gigs I didn't go and see), and I doubt he would have done so in 2013 and 2014. He can be moody.
I am hoping to see them again one time at least in full flight, but if I don't, I will still think, as we are required to say these days, that I have been blessed. Five stars for both quality of materials and delivery!
