It doesn't really get an awful lot better than this. Certainly, the original. That languid shuffle swing, distinctive nasal vocals and a nice moody performance on TOTP as I recall My first ever Quo single, bought for me by my mum. She knew

Ironicaly, this is my favourite version of the track, despite the impromptu nature of it - or perhaps because of it. It's just so raw and I love Rossi's licks during the breaks. FABULOUS.

Had not seen this for a while, but this is pure class. The real Quo.

You can't be the Frantics for getting the feel of that song just spot on.
I do however have a soft spot for the version from the Perfect Remedy tour, particularly Rossi's lead breaks.

NEC 89 is my favourite.
I love the gentle build up.
It’s brilliant

This is right up there with one of my fave Quo songs of all time. Just love it and always a highlight of any gig.
The original version with a pre waistcoated Rossi is ace.
Standout track at a recent Quo connection gig.
I love the FF rehearsal version posted on here and brought a tear to my eye when I first saw and heard it knocking on a decade ago now !. Quo as they should be .

In my top 5 that is for sure wonder why it didn’t get on an album around that time.

In my top 5 that is for sure wonder why it didn’t get on an album around that time. I always wondered that. Same with Down The Dustpipe and Tune To The Music. Just copying The Beatles I suppose In My Chair was on the US version of Ma Kelly. Rarer than hen's teeth that these days though.

My introduction to it was the perfect remedy tour video. I always thought that was the original version with the slow understated build.
I probably still prefer that version. Hard to say. Great song though.
Francis clearly had a soft spot for it
