I've changed my mind
Like others, I've been saying "if only Aqoustic had been genuinely stripped back like Francis shows and his new mini album"
But no. I posted positively about Francis album when I heard it, and the solo show I saw.
But I don't want to hear the album again.
I've come to the conclusion that most classic Quo music doesn't work acoustically, it's either a dull strumalong, or coloured in with naffness.

They could easily have reworked them.
Slide guitar, steel guitar, piano, strings. It was essentially whatever took as little effort as possible, with the exception of maybe 4 songs. POMM is great, but there's zero ambience

For me, it all depends on taste in music too. I loved the instrumental version of Down Down from.... the sound track of Bula Quo. It was on YT but I see it's gone now. I gather it wasn't played by Francis and Rick though. Having said that, your view MrWaistcoat is probably why Aquostic had so much added to it. To avoid being a dull strumalong.
