I stand corrected, I assumed that Mike Harding was the guy who is from Manchester and worked for the BBC. I'm not aware of a Scottish Mike Harding, which is why I thought it was Alan Black who is Scottish and presented the In Concert Series in the 1970's.

It may have been recorded on 1 March 1973 but I'm as sure as I can be after 50 years that it wasn't broadcast on that date. I saw Quo live on 22 March 1973 and it was after that. My mate at school recorded it on his new fangled cassette recorder and we listened to it endlessly. I wonder if he still has it? I doubt it. I haven't even seen him for nearly 40 years. A truly fabulous memory. We played it in school but it wasn't well received by those of a prog persuasion. Of which there were many. Fvck 'em was our attitude "I haven't even seen him for nearly 40 years" That's a proper game of hide and seek!!

For years I didn't realize the BBC didn't edit Roadhouse Blues but Someone's Learning yes. Always the f******g Roadhouse Blues. Everyday I hate the song more and more.

Confession This thread has educated me that the Paris theatre was never in Paris 🙈 Wasn't it also just down the road from where Quo recorded all their classics at IBC Studios?
