Yep, that does it for me.
A much maligned album which doesn't get the praise it deserves due to it's association with Carry on Quo up the Fiji.
There are 4 or 5 tracks that would have graced any album. Certainly any post '99.
And this is one of them 👍

Love this one, my favourite from the album
I can't remember mystery island but can remember that it's so bad it's funny, perhaps the only Quo song id say that about
I really like all that money. Rest of the album is OK but I never went back to it
Happen to think the negative reaction came more from the single than the film The ridiculous opening was the first thing an expectant fanbase heard after FF reunions, and understandably were frustrated to the point of anger, so goodbye message board
I didn't mind the film, I expected it to be crap and it was, but in a fun way. Loved Rhino getting chucked into the pool can't remember anything else about it

Despite the memories of disgust flooding back when Bula Bloody Nursery Rhyme Quo was released in the aftermath of the magnificent Reunion tours and all the hell that was 'deservedly' rained down on Mr. Rossi and Co, I actually really like this track!! If it was on HT, QPQ etc.. it would have stood out well and probably would have been better regarded. Lets face it, this whole album is tainted by the Bula Bloody Quo farce, no matter what track is good or not.
But going back to the song itself, love the guitar sound and love the 'is this a dream falling out of the sky' sections. Rossi's licks are welcome but it would have really elevated the song if he let rip with a solo, either after the bridge or at the end. But yeah, I like it.
Now I just have to shake the nightmares of that awful film and the silly Fijian shirts. What the hell were they thinking??

The title track was presumably released as a way of better promoting the film. But I doubt it helped album sales Hard to credit it as a Rossi/Young composition This one, of course, is a Matt Letley song, so credit where it's due. He didn't get much on to Quo albums but those he did get accepted were pretty good. I really like You're The One For Me.

The film/album that killed the official SQMB! Angry posts driven by sheer disappointment and exasperation. A band, 're-formed' and adored by their fanbase, decided to play games suggesting there would be two bands, maybe new FF music, and then took a serious dump on fans from twenty feet by going back to their late 80's prime of Cannon and Ball inspired buffoonery. Toys out the pram, and a decade 15 YEARS of posts and messages between members, wiped off the internet forever, WITH NO WARNING lest we forget! The album showed they could still come up with a half decent tune but it all felt very uninspired, and I therefore hold a serious grudge against anything off this album.

I didn't actually know the old message board had gone around that time. I was under the weather (and the doc ) with a bizarre condition called Graves Disease (I kid you not!) which made me miss reunion gigs at Hammersmith, Wolverhampton and Manchester in 2013, despite having tickets. I did manage to make one of the Glasgow ones. But, I have to confess, it all sort of passed me by. I also wasn't on the message board for a few weeks while my body was making it's mind up what to do Apparently it all kicked off when Bula Bula Quo hit the streets like Anarchy In The UK. Or maybe not quite like that It's a shame it went but I can see other side of the argument if it got too heated and too insulting.

Pulling the plug didn't have to happen without warning. They also could have archived the board as read only.

I was gutted when the board went. I’d been on there since about 1999. My old number was around 123 I think
Some names I remember on that screen grab. Including my own. “Matt Shelley read this” from Telemaster.
I’m trying to think of I bought a ticket for Croydon off him….

Is the old board archived anywhere that we can still have a peep? I was on it from June 1999 when all the talk was about the spanking new album, 'Under the Influence'.
