Who here remembers Morph - the claymotion character from the 70s? In London this summer, we have an art trail of 56 Morph figures, painted in different designs, spread around the river, and the city of London. Yesterday, on a long walk but enjoyable walk, I found most of them. I enjoyed the Morphs but more fun was watching families and friends enjoying the hunt too. I thought members here would enjoy Rock Morph.

Oh yeah, I remember Morph. "Vision On", Tony Hart, all that. Is that girl looking at Morph or you taking the photo? Because she will not have a clue who Morph was. Do we know what the occasion is? Why there is a Morph art trail? And there are worse cities to walk round than London, I'll give you that 👍

They have these art trails in London most summers mortified And in other cities too. Often animals - they've had one here with cows. In Bristol this summer there is one of painted unicorns. They give us and tourists something free to do. And then they auction them off at the end to raise money for charity. My favourite was the red phonebox one in 2012. In Scotland this summer you have 2 options. The Big Hop Trail of giant painted hares in Aberdeen, Moray, Orkney and Shetland. Clearly not a walking tour. www.thebighop.co.uk/sculptures/And in St Andrews they have Scotties by the sea. scottiesbythesea.com/art-trail/ Maybe a photo option for our dog loving board host 4th Chord Here's a website that lists all the trails on this summer, though some may nearly be over. bubbablueandme.com/art-trails-gromit-unleashed/

mortified I was surprised how many kids I passed know about Morph. One girl (7 by the look of her) told her Dad that a specific one was a key friend in the show world. She checked the info underneath and was delighted to be correct. Maybe this character has a new life I don't know about.

curiousgirl, I remember one in Chester a few years back - probably about 15 years back! - with coloured rhinos. They also sold small porcelain ones - 6 in all - which Mrs Mortified bought. They currently adorn a window sill. They weren't cheap but they're worth virtually nothing, even as a full set. But they beat a Toby jug of some ageing rock star all day long So I haven't broken one yet. Which is quite unlike me They also did cows in Zurich once when I went there to see Quo. So I know the sort of thing you're talking about. The Scotties one in St Andrews would be easy to see. It's just up the road. The painted hares, though, you'd need a car and a lot of money to get on a ferry or a Loganair flight Ta for the info, though 👍
