Quo even had the problem of looking typical 80's pre and post Live Aid. Mullets and perms galore. Who would you lot say suffered the worst of 80's fashion and style

Quite honestly to see our beloved Quo one more time was astonishing. They nailed their part. To be the opening act to what is now seen as the biggest music event of all time really is a major honour. It's great that Quo are remembered by people alongside Queen and U2 as playing that day. I know its because they opened the event, but even so. People struggle to remember that Led Zep, Sabbath and many other legendary acts also played. It was a great day. Also it was fantastic of Quo to also play Dont Waste My Time, an album track not known by practically all of the audience and viewing public!

Or just generally? Because I'd start, and probably finish, with Boy George before going any further Although I mustn't point too many fingers. I was as guilty as anyone. Perm, mullet, fatigues, ankle warmers, you name it....

Only one that seemed to get away with fashion and looks in the 80s, to me, was MJ. Decade of great music. Horrific style.
Anyways...
Interesting fact.. After Live Aid, Paul Weller wanted to get planning permission for some small steps to go over his garden fence. He had to apply via the stile council...

Never got why Francis plays this down.
They were absolutely far from shit. Rusty, of course.. Far from shit! To put it into perspectve, it wasn't until U2 came on that the energy picked up again* The energy dropped for ages when Quo finished!
*Fuck anyone who says U2 aren't a great band. They're tremendous! No one who writes 5-6 great albums and reinvents the live music experience, can be called shite. I'm not a fan of Coldplay, but they're brilliant at what they do/done
