Kim and Roy were the year before. That was the year two days before the tour Rick had a heart attack, had a stent fitted the next day then played Birmingham NEC the day after that. Once armed with that knowledge, we could allow them a little slack for it feeling a bit underehearsed. I have to say though, it’s a guilty Quo pleasure of mine. I enjoyed it in the run up to Christmas. Happy memories for me😊👍 Ah, did they do a Xmas medley though the following year? I think I saw them in London then for QuoFestive. The memories are all becoming blurry with age..... yeah, but it was; Walking In A Winter Wonderland, Rockin' Around The X-Mas Tree, and It's Christmas Time this time around

I remember the Xmas medley but was struggling to think I'd been that close to Kim Wilde! I'd surely remember that! 😀 It was still shambolic.

Listening to the new London 2012 Archive release and it sounds bloody good! Rhythm section cooking, Matt really brought such a groove to the band.
Sound far better than the previous issue, though it was good, this is more balanced, clearer. To my ears anyway.
Normally for live Quo I go to DVD's or YouTube, but I think this new London 2012 will get a lot of plays here. Nothing new, everyone knows the set, but it rocks - and that, in itself, will do nicely!

Yes, wrong channels, but that doesn't bother me really. It's, for me anyway, a great addition to the Quo live library.

Nothing new, and will probably be the same for the rest of this shit show series. they havent even got the date right on the artwork - Sunday, 19th December 2012... that show was on a Wednesday.

Haven’t bought any of the Archive series yet, can we please hope for some of the reunion gigs (preferably Hammy) to be the next release?

Even though I have the original this sounds much better to me, listened to it at work with the headphones on after reading this....cheers

If Rick's guitar wasn't lower in the mix than the keys during the intro, I'd be saying I think that's the definitive live version of Mystery Song. The drums are louder in the mix than on the original recording which is an improvement and that outro is fantastically heavy. Great stuff, just a shame the guitar is quiet in the intro.
