They've not even got Rick and Francis panned to correct sides... nice one on getting some remixes done, but get someone who fucking knows who Quo are to do it - Jesus Christ!
Good question… I’ll ask Eike! He’s remixing all future series in his Hamburg Chameleon Studio and was a huge Quo Fan in his youth. So he knows Quo very well.

You'll need a miracle, and then some
Can we not have it as a Record Store Day Release? 2000 copies across the world or something? Assuming this image means the tapes were digitized?
They have been digitised. Everything that was in Rossis archive has been. It's the only way to check the tapes are what they say on the box - because in Quos case, most of the time they aren't.

Might seem like a stupid question but how and why has Rossi got a lot of recordings in his archive? He doesn't strike me as someone who would ask for recordings after gigs or recording sessions. I can understand him having demos recorded at home, but not live gigs. I think it was more so from when Quo were inbetween Record Labels in the late 90s, after Phonogram / Polydor were bought out by Universal. There are a good number of studio reels, not all live shows.

Really looking forward to hearing this release over the weekend. I know fans gripe about setlists as most of us here will have seen them multiple times - but - when you view the set listing, it really is brim full of classic tracks. From Caroline to Bye Bye Johnny, and with the fiery energy they played with, it is one hell of a rock show! The mix on the teaser track (on earphones, YouTube) seemed a bit bass heavy, but we'll see. Tonight if possible I hope to set aside an hour or two and enjoy an excellent rock band blaze thru a memorable set 🤘🎸 They've not even got Rick and Francis panned to correct sides... nice one on getting some remixes done, but get someone who fucking knows who Quo are to do it - jesus christ! Excuse my ignorance/stupidity, but why does it matter what sides they are panned to?

Excuse my ignorance/stupidity, but why does it matter what sides they are panned to? because its not right. Rick has always been on the left side and Francis has always been on the right side of the stereo channels. Think of it like when you see them live - up until either the early to mid 2000s, Ricks amp was on the left side whereas Francis' was on the opposite side inbetween the kit and the keys

Wonder if the Liverpool Pops Show from 2005 that had selected tracks issued by the Daily Mirror will get a full Vinyl Release....?

I listened to a bit of this. Really they just sound knackered half the time. And the way Rossi groans as if in pain at the end of each sentence of Softer ride puts me off
I actually turned it off during the medley.

Now that his archive has been digitised, has it been properly catalogued? Is Rossi's archive the only Quo archive or are there more with other owners?
There was some noise a few years ago that the Milton Keynes Bowl audio tapes had been found, is this the case? Was Crystal Palace the week before recorded?

Everyone seems fixated, including Quo inc, about live recordings. I mean, how many times have we seen the band? How many live recordings do we have access to, both official and unofficial? Literally dozens. How many versions of Caroline and Bye Bye Johnny do I want to hear? Even this archive release is a re-issue, whether it's been digitally enhanced or otherwise. Marketing it as something new and 'authorised by the band' - two of whom are no longer even there - is just taking the pi$$. But then I buy it anyway. Explain that I suppose I'm just encouraging the release of even more in this 'archive series', which basically seems to be the Live Here Now recordings. For me, the really important stuff doesn't exist. Or if it does, not for the purposes of a quality release. Archive to me is not 2010. It's not even this millennium. It's 1974. Or even 1984.

I’d agree. I can’t think there are many people hankering after a Quo live in 2009 album. But something from the 70s would be great. 76-82 is undocumented
