I see they're just uploading them as they were broadcast and aren't doing any restoration, so I've just remastered the audio and now enhancing the footage as much as I can.

Rick was 100% out the night before anyways with those vocals.
Spud is absolutely sensational!!
Great performance! Fantastic! Minus the vocals

Controversial opinion - Rick didn’t have a powerful voice till around 1978. I don’t mean a bad voice, just quite gentle.
Everything All the reasons Lonely man Rain - heavy song but his vocal is soft Where I am
It’s sounds quite thin here. Even though it’s rough as hell. Wonder if he changed his style or had coaching.

I'm not overly keen on the Studio version of BFM either for the same reason, Live 76 is better but my fave version is NEC 1982, followed by EOTR/MFTR 84.

I don't know why this song was broadcasted and not the rumored ROLD or DWMT. As you said, Rick vocals are, from my point of view, bad, he even repeat the same verse twice. Francis in certains part of the solo remove some bars I think.
I don't mean that the video is bad, I only watched it twice and the first one without blinking, but...I can get why the americans didn't like them. Even on their tubes they seem to get the wrong songs.
I see that the first milisecond of the video looks like another song, or maybe other band? I'm not sure.

No, I agree. Rick, through whatever reason, developed his voice to where he could be the rocker and still have that gentle voice. Having said that, he nailed BFM on the Wembley 74 footage. Here, not so much and you can see it on his face a few times. The band, overall, are amazing here. Especially Spud... But, if the audience are met with that vocal, I can understand the turn off. That said... They also done BTR and DWMT, apparently?

Rossi couldn't play the solo at the correct speed during the recording of the Quo album, so God help him in a live setting. The other track recorded will either be ROLD or DWMT

Excellent! JC at his best! Not the best Rick vocals performance (Rick forces his voice too much) and not the best Rossi´s solo but the energy, attitude & power is here!

Right, Helmet On!!
If this was Quo's "Big Chance" to break the US, you now know why it didn't happen.
Musically, absolutely loved it.
However Ricks vocals are awful, for a first time listener it would have been a major turn off. Is this what Frame alludes to when he says he didn't like Ricks shouty vocal? A bit of resentment for blowing the big chance, possibly? The your No:1, I'm No:2 stance from Rick? It all adds to the debate.
The fact that there is only one mic stand and the camera focusing on Rick during Frames solo, makes it look like he is the lead singer and guitarist. I do like Frame's solo though, he sounded so much better in those days, maybe not as proficient but definitely better.
In some of the still shots, such as the Down Down cover, there are more mic stands, so wouldn't it be great if........
I will still have to go back to the Wembley or Madrid footage to show people what Quo were really about.

I cannot thank you enough for posting this. What an exceptional clip, the boys in their prime. So what if Rick is a little off key, just enjoy the performance. Finds like this are as rare as hens teeth. It just goes to show what an awesome band they were. How on earth they did not make a better fist of it in the US of A God only knows! There are many more undiscovered ( by us anyway) clips and footage of the Frantic Four out there. I bloody know there is!
