Coincidentally, an ex-work colleague sent me a link to that on WhatsApp this week. He was 2-Tone mad when he was younger and I managed to source a rare CD release for him years ago after he'd chucked his turntable out like everyone else. He's very excited about this Tell you what though, it was some line up. The cream of UK ska. I quite liked a lot of it myself, especially The Beat and The Selecter. I have albums by both. Not sure there will be much interest on here though. Lip up, fatty

Just as those my age would be getting into music.

My ex-workmate was born in 1971, so he will have been swept along by it as a kid. He's a huge Madness fan, who I always associated loosely with young kids as opposed to older teenagers. Although, as a 10-year old myself back in the late 60's, I wasn't remotely interested in music. That took hold of me when I was about 12. And never let go

The one thing that put me off ska/Two Tone was their fans. The ones that I knew from school etc were complete knobheads. I went to Newbury races a few years back and they had Madness playing afterwards. There were pissed 50+ year old balding fat blokes sporting fezes and in Egyptian fancy dress making complete bellends of themselves. That was 90 minutes of my life I will not get back!
