According to different sources this version is sung by Bob Young or Roy Lynes...who sang it?

Yeah, Mr Young.
He said so in a recent FTMO interview, but I remember reading about it quite a long time ago. When the demo first began to appear really. I'm not sure when that happened. I think the earliest release I heard it might have been on Status Quo - The Early Years which came out in 1992. But it could easily have been released earlier than that for all I know. These compilations were hard to keep up with for a while.
Incidentally, that compilation was compiled by one Garry Fielding apparently.

In that cd (The Early Years) said that was Roy Lynes on vocals...but is it a demo (guide vocals track) or a BBC live session? ( I have the same version with an introduction from the BBC)

( I have the same version with an introduction from the BBC) I can't be certain, but I think the credit on that is wrong. Bob has said for a while it was him and he is credited somewhere else. Can't remember which release. Maybe an updated Ma Kelly? I don't think there's another version with Roy singing. Not that I'm aware of. I've never listened that closely for a long time. If there's an introduction from the BBC, it suggests that it may not be a demo. I'm sure there is someone out there who knows the 'facts' 👍

I am pretty sure it's a BBC session.
Maybe the rest of the band pranked Bob into singing it, it'd be that Quo sort of humour.

Yeah, the Demo and the BBC session are the same track. The BBC session is edited and shorter. As far as I know, the Demo was first released on 1992, with The Early Years compilation, like Mortified said. The BBC session was first released on the 2003 reissue of Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon (unsure if it was released before that).
Also curious to know how it happened for Bob Young to sing it.

I believe this can't be a demo. Only one appeared from Ma Kelly's and it's the same from the BBC box? Don't know.
One thing is sure, if it's from the BBC Radio show, Quo had b*lls in those days, Bob isn't a great singer to broadcast this thing.

I remember reading an interview somewhere with Bob Young maybe his website and confirmed it was him. Apparently he did a guide vocal for a bbc session but somehow got released and he said it was a terrible version..
