I wonder how they came across the song? Written for them? Unusual to have outside writers, apart from John David
Anyway, great single and video!
Just found this

John Gustafson was one of the writers, the aforementioned Roxy Music member, and also a member of John Coghlan's Diesel band too. His band Rowdy recorded it after Quo, in 1983:

Ironic, one of the members of the John's band, written before the exit of John I suppose, and released after John left the band, named Dear John.

Often wish the official videos were available on youtube. Love the video for this
Understand why, but you'd think overall the exposure would be helpful

Often wish the official videos were available on youtube. Love the video for this Understand why, but you'd think overall the exposure would be helpful One of the bigger things that Quo have always lacked in... Social Media. Their YouTube channel is scarce of any decent content. The only promos on there are: Paper Plane, Rockin' All Over The World, In The Army Now, All Around My Hat, The Way It Goes, It's Christmas Time, Rock 'n' Roll 'n' You, Two Way Traffic, Bula Quo, Looking Out For Caroline, and Go Go Go. Really, the Accept No Substitutes DVD release would have been the perfect opportunity to remaster and restore all of the promo videos - even those with alternate versions (Mystery Song, Rock 'til You Drop, and Can't Give You More)... but the budget didn't leave any room for any of that, and what there was of it was used to get usage rights for Is It Really Me / Gotta Go Home (Beat Club).
