Great interview never seen that before. Alan always came across far more genuine in his interviews than the forced comedy act of R&P. Cheers

It never helped them shake off the "3 chord" shit they got. I would genuinely love to hear Francis or John talk about how they came up with certain parts, why they did and the true inspirations behind lyrics and where ideas came from Talking themselves down was a massive mistake in my mind Alan, for whatever personality issues Francis disagreed with, I have never heard of anyone who met Alan who has had a bad word to say about him. Heard it about every other member of the band but not Alan

Hadn't seen that in a long while but enjoyed it. A very relaxed interview and no daft, silly remarks or stunts. Quite a breath of fresh air. Maybe Quo would have been taken a bit ore seriously had Alan led more interviews like this. He looked pretty damn good in 1985. Life in Sydney was obviously kind to him. Very good looking. He still towed the line that the band weren't going to tour anymore but still carry on recording and producing. I wonder if he believed that was really what the future was going to be for Quo before it fell apart completely? Who knows!
