I just realized that it’s time for this years Record Store Day on April 23rd. Does anybody here know if there will be some Quo-stuff released for that day this year? If I can wish I would hope for a big box of previously unreleased live material from the seventies! But I would of course also be happy with a vinyl release (a double vinyl, preferably a gatefold and coloured vinyl) of Heavy Traffic! Any inside info, anyone?

I haven't seen anything and, to be honest, when Quo stuff does come out for RSD, it's usually not worth the wait or the money. Coloured vinyl versions of already existing material being the staple diet we tend to get fed. As I recall, we were even told that the tracks on the Knebworth EP we got last year had never been released before, which was patently untrue A vinyl release of Heavy Traffic would be a good one, especially as this year is it's 20th anniversary. But I suspect they'll want it remastered before they go down that road. All guesswork on my part though. I do think Heavy Traffic should be celebrated in some way because it was something of a watershed/renaissance moment for the band.

(in fact that album feels quite recent to me!) Yes, a 20th anniversary of this watetshed/comeback release (IMO the first great album since WYW) underdog feels very important to celebrate!

Heavy Traffic was only 5 years old when we came over to Sweden to do the 3 gigs in Båstad, Kalmar and Hässelholm. THESE seem like a couple of years ago! Why does living go so fast?
