Might be an ok album if they got rid of the brass section and those screeching bloody women backing singers.

Ive alwayed loved this song and the whole album. I would love it to get remixed by John Eden to see how he could improve it like he did to RAOTW.

Like mentioned already, it would be interesting to see what a remix from John Eden could possibly do with the album. It sure would improve the album if the brass and female backing vocals were removed I think

Totally agree with you musiktruhe bit it's very popular on this site ah well each to there own of coarse🤟 9/17 commenters favour it, so it's just past the 50% hurdle! I sat on the fence, but gonna say now, not keen so we are split 50/50, 9/18. Who wants to swing this?

It's a No from me too, dog-average blandness.
The Heat album is okay, not great but not terrible. Very different it must have been for fans at the time - slightly neutered guitars, female backing singers, brass sections, and then blandness if some of the material.

Luckily, by 1978 I'd discovered other things to occupy me In those days there was no mental health support like there is now for just being seriously pi$$ed off

It's a catchy song! I've not listened to the album* in decades but I can sing you this one from memory. Do I like it? If it was on a FR solo album it would fit right in.
Like Victor, I'd be interested in a John Eden remix.

The song's only saving grace is that the Quo version is better than the Graham Bonnet one. Which is hideous. And a strange choice for a chanter with his tonsils. Actually, I'll qualify this a bit. The 'song' is fine. Lyrically, it's pretty good; like a great many Francis Rossi songs. But melodically, it's just dull to these ears. It's very singalong/tra-la-la I suppose and, if that's your thing, I guess you'll be OK with it. I'm no musician and don't profess to know anything about chord progression, key changes or any of that malarkey. But quite a few Quo songs, especially those written by Francis and Bernie, seem melodically very predictable. There are no surprises along the way. They start off in a certain style and they stay there. I'm not explaining myself very well, am I?

A 9/10 on the lyric cringe scale.
"I saw a lookalike today, he was a lot to see He was familiar anyway, he looked a lot like me Shall I take a look, just a little look, it isn't very clear Oh every time I look, if I take a look Little, little, just a little late"
I hate it. I'll have to bathe in "Oh Baby" to cleanse myself.
