The song gets derided a bit but it is a very good song technically some great drumming from John and this is said to be one of his favourite Quo tracks. It is very much of the era with a funky disco feel and the fuzz effects on the guitar remind me a bit of Hot Chocolate and what they were doing around this time.

Strangely, I should hate this, but I don't. I don't know why, just something about it.
One of the better songs on RAOTW for me, unlike For You, which I detest with a vengeance.

It's a song I don't mind at all. Always quite liked it. Maybe because when I first heard it I thought it was a completely different vibe to anything the band had done before. And certainly a bit leftfield for a Rossi/Young composition at the time. There is a video kicking around with John Eden explaining it's production and how it was put together. It's a really interesting watch. I half thought Francis might have played this on his solo tour a few years back. It does get derided somewhat. Many people detest it. But I'm in it's corner telling it to stand firm

I would like this slipped into a new medley if they change the set

I didn't think any of the songs they were recording around this time were that bad, just the sound of the band was moving away from the Quo rock band sound of the early '70s towards the Quo pop-rock band they subsequently became. This album was a big, unexpected, leap in that direction & many decent songs were slaughtered as a result. This being one, unfortunately.

I've no idea how to describe this
A song about becoming an older ladies toy held my attention, so yeah, listened to the words rather than lifted the needle!
These days the words don't hold the same mystique and it's always a skipper.
Many things Quo later did were derided as "musical no man's land". Its a term that I think fits this
