One of the very best. Always felt that it closed proceedings because the final track was a bizarrely underwhelming end to a terrific album and I usually took the needle off before we got there There were two tracks of genuine power and drive on Just Supposin'. This and Over The Edge. And I could never make up my mind which one I preferred. So I just kept playing both 11/10

One of my all time faves. I just adore this track. It is so full of atmosphere. I love the melody, love Rick's vocal, love the guitar reverb sound, love Bob's harmonica fills and solo, love Alan's thundering bass line, love John's play out with Bob. Love it, love it, love it. 42 years old and yet I can play this today and still get goose bumps on the back of my neck as if it was the first time I heard it.
If only Quo had followed this sound/route in the 80s as I had always felt tracks like this, Over the Edge, Wild Ones, Take Me Away etc...are what Quo should have sounded like going into the new decade.
Amazing song. And now I'm feeling nostalgic.

I wouldn't begin to tell Quo which direction they should have gone in. They've been pretty successful without my advice But I agree that, for me, these tracks were the highlights of the albums on which they appeared. And I'd have loved them to stick with that heavier, darker approach. Or at least include one or two on each album. But I don't think I heard another 'brooding' dark, heavy sort of melody from them until Shine On. Which is why that song was such a revelation to me.

Always felt that it closed proceedings because the final track was a bizarrely underwhelming end to a terrific album and I usually took the needle off before we got there So you didn't buy the Rock 'n' Roll single, did you? Well, maybe yes, for the B-Sides. Is it me, or there's two bass in this song? Always thought that there's a synth bass throught the song. I like it, really much, but I have a relationship of love/hate with the ending. Sometimes I think that's too large, 5 minutes with a little solo of harmonica is fine...But then I think "WHAT AM I SAYING? It's great!".

The last real creative track the classic line up did and with Bob Young. Some nice arrangements here and great musical interaction from all involved. Some of Alan’s best Bass playing and John’s drumming. John Eden did a great job of bringing everything high in the mix. Rick does a great vocal here too just perfect for his range.

I suppose that's what collectors do. Regardless of whether they like something or not. For my sins Like everyone else, I already owned the B-sides. Which just compounds the insanity of collecting for collecting's sake. Everyone needs a hobby

I guess I’m on the outer…a monotonous song Yep - I think that too, it really needed something [guitar solo, a 'turnaround' or key change... something!] It's still a great tune tho'!
What I remember most about C&G is that when the album came out I hadn't been very long playing guitar - hadn't got to barré chords yet so I was sliding a 1st position EMaj up and down the neck and came up with a riff identical to C&G then the album arrived into my mitts and I thought 'who can I sue for breach of copyright' 🤣!! I had a cassette tape of myself playing it [and yeah, my effort went on and on and over and over too!] alas it's long in the great audio format graveyard in the sky!!

Personally I think Take me Away was actually the last creative track of the classic line up, Alan's bass playing in that one is amazing too. But I see what you mean, especially with Bob Young being in Coming and Going
