I guess that makes it an official release then? Yes - the rest of it was released in October 2018 on digital platforms, and the Midge Ure remixes have just been added on. The dates for the likes of Nik Kershaw and Sade's tracks are bizarre as they are labelled as 13th July 1982 through to 1985.

Sorry to type so much guff - listening to excerpts of the 3 Quo tracks on 7digital and comparing to Midge's remix of DWMT, it definitely sounds like remastered versions as opposed to the releases on the original Live Aid album. It's just the audio ripped from the 2004 DVD release. Very piss poor and quickly done audio issue of Live Aid. It also tied in with the channel being created on Youtube, again which they uploaded the DVD release footage to rather than straight from the masters so it looks rough.

I remember it like it was yesterday. A great choice for the band to do this instead of a commercial type single. 'Sitting there with my legs going brown' Would now be jumped upon by the 'woke brigade'!!!

What did that mean “going brown”. Never known. I always presumed tanned. Seems logical. Still, with Francis, you just never know

The DVD only had 2 Quo tracks on it though whereas the download seems to have 3. Is that price of £8.99 for the full lot of tacks listed as disc 1-4? Might have to invest in that as I have the whole Wembley broadcast on VHS. If the Quo tracks aren't remastered, why has Midge remastered Don't Waste My Time and has he remastered the other Quo tracks? Maybe they plan to release a new Midge remaster of the whole gig?

Yeah, the Midge Ure remixes were added to that "release" recently - so it's a combination or remixed and remastered audio. £8.99 is for the full lot. As far as I know, he has only remixed Don't Waste My Time for it to be partnered with the footage which they will be issuing out on the Live Aid channel at some point

I thought for instance that all the Quo tracks would run into each other like a live album but obviously they don't. Don't Waste My Time starts with the crowd cheering, it doesn't even fade in which is a pain, and it's the Midge Remix and sounds totally different to the other Quo tracks. It's great to have all the tracks by the different artists but I can only hope that someday they decide to actually release the whole concert, either in audio or video or both.
