Coming up, at 7pm (GMT), is a remixed version of Don't Waste My Time from Status Quo's Live Aid set.
Enjoy!

It sounds amazing, especially Pete's kit. Midge did a top job with this

Visual / Audio upgrade, with the source being a direct rip of the since privated stream. My previous upload was a screen capture, so the kbps rate was low, and it was p*ss poor visually

If they were to do a serious re-release of this show, they need to properly restore the footage and get rid of the microphony / interference lines. It is possible, as a Queen fan restored their set and managed to remove them without affecting the quality. Just look at the state of this shot alone.

Ah but microphony is such a reminder of great times and bands being loud!
As are the crowd shots without a phone in sight.
Which makes me wonder - do crowds do the full overhead clapping these days?

I guess that makes it an official release then? Interestingly, the Discogs listing for this 2018 download release only includes RAOTW and Caroline. I don't know if this 7digital listing is recent - it lists the release date as 2018 but that may be an error. Are these the 2021 remixes by Midge Ure or has DWMT been added recently as it's not on the original release. I thought the remixes were just for the Live Aid YouTube channel, so i'm puzzled as to where this version of DWMT has appeared from! Discogs and 7digital are both "4 disc sets" despite not being physical product, so that ties together, but has this 7digital listing been updated recently, or has it only just appeared to tie in with Midge's remixes?

Sorry to type so much guff - listening to excerpts of the 3 Quo tracks on 7digital and comparing to Midge's remix of DWMT, it definitely sounds like remastered versions as opposed to the releases on the original Live Aid album.
