My favourite from Second Quo. And it's got harmonica!

Brilliant!
Criminal how they dropped it from the set. When I heard it on the Never Say Never tour, it got me really excited for the new album.
20 fucking years ago...

Brilliant! HT really was the return of ”my Quo”, and it also became the return for me as an active fan (going to gigs, collecting stuff etcetera) for the first time in quite a few years. A pure vitamin injection!

Favourite Quo Album: On The Level

I might put this top of the list of "songs the old Quo would have done" and it's not a very long list at all - it's not the usual twee, major-key pop that the newer line-ups seem to be all about. Ok, they have attempted many less cheery sounding songs, but failed to pull this sort of track off by account of poor or modern production, too clean etc. etc. This somehow has all the ingredients and i could imagine FF doing it. A little less separation, more overspill, and dirtier guitars and it would be there. It somehow has that "edge" and "groove" - maybe just me though.

Somewhat related note, what a tour Heavy Traffic was! Stage design was faultless, performances were faultless. Image was even faultless...
Felt like a second wind and it was all going upwards. You'll Come Round, Thinking Of You. It looked good...
Aye...

Solid Gold was excellent and dropped far to early.
It should make a re-appearance.

Superb. A real favourite of mine. First previewed the year before along with All Stand Up (called Never Say Never at the time) and it stood out a mile as a return to form. What I find interesting is that it's a Rossi/Young song and it doesn't sound like one. It has all the hallmarks of 'heavier' Quo; something I would ordinarily associate with Rick or Rhino. Fabulous hook in the chorus and a blistering solo from Francis. This really is up there with the best of 'em. This and Heavy Traffic were dropped quite quickly, although I think Solid Gold hung about for an extra year. That's just from memory though. I could be wrong. Meanwhile, Creepin' and The Oriental 20 years later? 10/10 for this one though. Maybe it benefits from not being heard as much and by virtue of it NOT being in the set

One of the reasons I really like this song too is the fact that it's in minor and in this case it works.
