Very possibly the best track to come out of that period. It stuck out a mile and seems to be played with enthusiasm and drive and isn't produced and tinkered with to within an inch of it's life. I loved this then and I love it now. Some nice slide work during the outro as well. Whoever's playing it. Yep

Here's how I found it. At a boot sale in Kent on Sunday and I found Who Get's The Love on a 12" vinyl. Saw this track as the b side with Halloween and played it on you tube. Didn't buy the disc.

One of the faves from the period. If I'm not mistake, the song was on the album's tracklist in '87, but the company shelved it along with The Greatest Fighter, It's Alright and Lean Machine. It won't change the album so much, but I think it could be a little improvement.
Do we know if the song was really composed with Francis and Rick or it's just another Williams composition with the Rossi/Parfitt names pasted? I always think of the second, which is a shame.

Really good. Clearly sounded too old Quo for the band at that point, which was hard to take at the time
And yet it's commercial. The old Quo were. This would have been a better single than AC
Or, as francis often said in response at that time, "we've always been pop, pop as in popular"

In my top 3 post-85 Quo tracks, not sure why. But i love the chord changes during the solos, something very euphoric about them. And the slide solos themselves are pretty nice too. Some nice little chord sections in the midst of the verses too that make it a little different in a tune which could be so dull, and so Quo by numbers/a plodder.
That said, the whole Jeff Rich drum sound up until around UTI i've never liked, goes against the Quo ethos to me, a sort of 80's, big stadium drum sound, not much space for musical dexterity.
