I like this one to. Sounds a bit like a few Georgia Satellites songs and most like a ZZ Top song.
I know they didn’t write it but it’s a shame to me this wasnt their future.

Interesting line up. No Andy but with Kenney Jones on drums. They got him at last Three men in suits(ish) and a drummer in a hoodie Anyway, to the song; a firm favourite of Mrs Mortified's and I rather like it myself. The second introduction to John David who has become a regular contributor over the years. I'd like to have heard the full version live. It does have that ZZ Top feel to it without having their unique 'swing'. For want of a better word. Check out Pretty Head to see how this riff can also be played B-sides on the 12" produced a mixed bag (and a poster). Don't Give It Up which was so-so and the Milton Keynes Medley, which was excellent and had me dreaming (expecting?) a live album. More fool me. 9/10 for the single though.

This track grew on me and was surprised it only made 19 in the UK singles chart. I thought at the time that Red Sky had that ZZ Top feel I agree with mortified regarding the Milton Keynes medley. I was looking on the cover for it to mention, the medley was from the forthcoming album... Live At Milton Keynes '84

And francis even removed his ponytail for the promo, a decidedly try to look like a rock band look, not featuring the new members. Like Kerrang said at the time, Quo were "covering their tracks" with two good singles to make up for Army and dreamin.
I liked it a lot, good song. I've probably gone off it a bit, many years since I've wanted to dig it out. ZZTOP do ZZ better than Quo ever could and vice versa. I just wanted Quo to sound like Quo

"In my dreams there is a picture Of me in a big gold frame And the people that I've never seen Are pointing at my name"
A great bit.

It’s funny in those days Rhino looked so much younger than Rick and Francis despite only a four or five year age difference.
