A genius of a jig. The best they ever came up with. And they've done a few! Has that Scottish feel to it. Makes me want to rush to the wardrobe, shove me kilt on and paint my face blue and white Of course, the kilt is a bit girded these days and the paint is all cracked and dry. But the old house is still standing. And there's that old oak tree that I used to play on.... Ahem, where was I? Brilliant track. 12/10

Great track live. And of course the best version being the remix.

Greatly lifted by the John Eden remix, now has the missing oomph Also love the demo
"The bit" remains my favourite Quo jig

First Quo thing I bought was 12 Gold Bars cos I liked the hits. I then found the NEC gig VHS - this song got me hooked for life and buying the back catalogue.

Prefer the remix, but apart from the bounceability live I dont know , it's a bit of a funny one with me. Some days I like it,some I dont . Think it depends on the mood. Loses a bit of the earthy Quo sound that was integral to the bands successful earlier classic period.

Massively influenced by Blowin' Free by Wishbone Ash, methinks. There is quite a similarity in places. Whether they were influenced by it, or had even heard it, who knows? And for those that don't know it.... The visual quality is a bit so-so (like Mr Turner's kaftan ) but you get the idea.

Brilliant, once in a while one of my absolute favourites, but I’ve heard it a bit too much nowadays, so that “thrill from my younger years” is a bit gone now. Still works great live though! Edit: and I absolutely love the John Eden remix, it rejuvenated the song and finally gave it the “oompf” it always deserved!

The live version, the remix or the Demo version, which is interesting are good, strong and whatever adjetive you can add, but the original version wasn't bad either. I assumed that Rick has nothing to do after hearing the demo, but, who knows.

I think they toured with Wishbone Ash in the US in the middle 70's. I can hear the similarity but it's not harmonically near each other.
