Y'know, it's amazing the difference a singer and arrangement can make.....

Interesting. If that's the word. Which it probably isn't. Unexpectedly (to me anyway), the Demis Roussos version is actually better. This is the first time I've heard it, although I've always known it was out there. I was always reluctant to subject myself to a rendition of a song that I was never going to like regardless of who performed it. Thanks for sharing. If that's the word. Which it probably isn't

Y'know, it's amazing the difference a singer and arrangement can make..... There's also a Rossi / Frost demo that I haven't heard personally, but i'm assuming it will have Rossi singing and Bernie doing backing as always. Great song. Not sure what it is about it, but I love it.

I always thought it was considerate of them to put in an apology at the end of the Thirsty Work album.

I don't mind it. I've read others on here before saying they like it because it's fun to play on guitar
I "don't mind" a lot of TW. This song would be great if it featured on a good rock album and provided some light. But it doesn't.
And album littered with don't likes and don't minds is never going to get a listen

Never like the version from TW, NEVER. But it must be from the song itself, because I don't like the Demis Roussos version either.
Some years ago I found that Tango wasn't that bad, but many years before, if I heard the album, automatically press the eject button when Ciao-Ciao finished.
