Think we had this question a few years back. I remember that most fans who never stopped have no plans to ever stop going. Other than those fans, it was quite negative
I've mellowed quite a bit, having said I didn't want to see them again.
I'm now at a point where I reckon I'd really enjoy seeing them at a festival again
As for Out Out Quoing, I'm not tempted. Stagnant set, obv without Rick, clearly can't be as good as before. Plus the tickets are expensive, costing more than some festivals. It would take a fairly radical set change to get me back
The last truly major set list revamp was 19 years ago. Words hard to find on that one 😁🙄

There seems to be no point. It's all done for me, started at Lewisham Odeon 21/12/1977 and finished at Hammersmith Odeon 15/03/2013.

That was it. Final curtain boys. What's left? I mean, c'mon. One band member and the name. That is it. Clinging onto past glories and regurgitating Quo's legacy. Good on Francis for continuing to perform - I get that and admire it. But Status Quo....no way does it exist. I am not going to get a thrill from hearing the old tunes performed by musicians that had no bearing on its creation. I'd rather put on an album or watch a video of how they were. I'd rather watch one of the really good tribute acts out there as I would be accepting and enjoying it for what it is - a tribute performance.

Well, as I've got tickets for one of the gigs next year, I guess that answers the question. I still like seeing the band live, although it will have been almost 5 years between the last one and the next. Longest gap ever. I also thought Backbone was OK. Hardly a classic but then I've said that quite a few times since the late 70's. Hasn't stopped me going. Age plays a part of course. My age that is. The travelling will pi$$ me off - it always does these days - but I'll enjoy it when I get there. Will I be as active as I used to be in front of that stage? Who knows? I suspect my body won't let me. I can't make comparisons with the 70's or any other decade; it's a futile exercise. They were different, of course they were, but so was I. I also have to stand up and confess that the reunion gigs didn't have the dewy eyed effect on me that they did on most. They were great, don't get me wrong (thank you, Chrissie ), but I've enjoyed as many gigs before and since 2013/2014. Those years are not watershed ones for me. But I appreciate that they are for many. So I'll be there. I doubt there will be too many more after that. I grumble about the music occasionally but there's been more good than bad. Way more. And they've never failed to deliver on stage. That swings it. So I'm just going to enjoy it while it lasts. Because it's been a blast

i havent seen them since April 16 2016 in Blackpool. Since Rick passed, i had no desire to see them again, but an old Quo mate wants to go to the Manchester gig next year, so i am going. Other bands have just a single original member left (AC/DC) but the music still has the same drive and power, i hope this version of Quo does, but i doubt it. I have the mindset already that i wont enjoy it, i hope to shake that off before next year.

I'm not going anymore because it'll never be as intense as the FF show I went to, people were seriously nervous in case it wasn't any good, it was the best gig ever!

Nah...
Don't get me wrong, they'll perform to their best, give a good show and everyone will be happy.
I have my reason (Not that anyone gives a shit)
1. I always knew the sound changed when JC and Alan left but, I cannot believe how much its changed since Rick passed. The power, the balls, the Quo guitar sound, it's non existent now.
2. I don't enjoy what they do. Watched them on TV and it made me feel uneasy, I didn't like the sound or feel of the band.
3. My last Quo gig was the last FF gig. Not to enter an old vs new debate, as I always loved gigs with Rhino, Jeff and Matt (Some of my personal best gigs ever actually) But, first Quo gig in my hometown, last Quo gig in my hometown, in the same venue, with the original line up...Why would I ruin that? 22 years
It was a perfect run...
I couldn't have asked for anymore
If they done solo gigs I'd go... Francis or Rhino that is. Perhaps it's human nature but, all of a sudden in my mind, there's no Quo there, if that makes sense

As with any gig , as close go the front as I can get. But for Quo, if I ever went again, tradition dictates hanging left of centre. Still do the same for JCQ.

I stand wherever they're not. If JCQ [unlikely] or Status Quotes [probably far more unlikely!] came over here then yes, I'd go.
I'm sorry [maybe I'm not tho'!?] but I just can't get around FR's bad mouthing 'us' older fans and our preference for older Quo and its 'sound' and his post-Reunion comments - so, no, I don't feel any need to further line his pockets.
