31/03/1999 Stumble Inn, Cannock - "Under the Influence" tour
13/08/2021 A former pub is to be converted into a nursery and apartments after councillors gave the green light to plans.
The Stumble Inn off Walsall Road in Bridgtown, Cannock, is also set to include a base for Bridgtown Historical Society on the first floor as part of the change of use plans.
Cannock Chase Council’s planning committee approved the application to give the early Victorian building a new lease of life after visiting the site. It has been vacant since August 2019.
Two apartments will be created on the first floor alongside the heritage centre and the ground floor will be used as a nursery.

Perhaps not quite as sad as the demise of Glasgow Apollo, although it's always sad to see any pub closed - especially if it's suffered a mysterious fire which suddenly opens the door to the owners development of choice!

I was responsible for quo playing there when I won the sun competition back in 1999. Remember everything about the day like it was yesterday. I've got plenty of one off mementos . I drive past quite a lot and it all comes flooding back.

The Kursaal Ballroom was knock down in 1986. A great little venue in Southend during the 70s where bands like Quo, Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest, UFO, Focus, Deep Purple, AC/DC, Slade, Sweet, Hawkwind, Motörhead, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Queen, Matthew The Hoople, Nazareth, 10CC, Procal Harum, Black Sabbath, Sparks and a few other bands played.

Just noticed that Ian Hunter was ill that night so his brother Matthew fronted the band

fond memories of the Manchester gig at The Star & Garter. My mate paid the landlord to get it as he didnt have a ticket. Hot and sweaty as it should be. I remember Alistair from somewhere in Ireland been thrown out at least twice as he was very very pissed. Oh, and being on the phone to get tickets, those were the days...

Cost me £50 if I remember, brilliant gig though and worth the money
