My favourite from the 1+9+8+2 album. Would have been great to see live!

The B-side to Marguerita Time. The shame Not to mention the irony of it calling them back to rock and roll I suspect many would say this is one of those "Quo by numbers" tracks but that suits me fine. I like it. I always wondered who played the slide solo on this. I'm as sure as I can be that it isn't Francis. It's not really his style at all. Although I'm prepared to listen to any counter-argument because I'm no expert. But Andrew or Rick would be my guess. I even like the Aquostic version. One of the better tracks from the 1+9+8+2 album and a firm favourite of one sister of mine.

Love the intro
Dont like the backing vocals
Overall really like it. Album for me was the beginning of stuff you like but within the song also having stuff wrong with it
I will guess the solo is Francis. When it starts it sounds very like a Francis headsdown thing. I think he can't sound like himself when he plays slide, but the playing isn't very technical so it most likely is
I think Francis will have done all of it. They self produced, so no Pip or Paxman to help out...

One of the better tracks on that album. Andy was bringing out the best in Rick at that time regarding songwriting. Listening to the lyrics to this is could possibly refer to Rick’s troubles leading up to this album being recorded ? Not sure if it is mostly Rick or Andy’s words though?
