I suppose the last real 'epic' song that we all got used to from Hello! onwards. I thought it should have closed the album rather than it petering out as it did but I guess I can see the logic in Rock 'N' Roll being given the job. Poignancy rather than blitzkrieg getting the nod.
Coming And Going is a belter of a track. Pounding along like a runaway train. There was such power in places on the album. This and Over The Edge almost blew your head off.
Terrific stuff.

I was too young at the time but what did people think of Just Supposing when it came out, on the heels of Raotw and IYCSTH. It’s like a new period for the band. Arguably darker and heavier than the classic period, not as poppy as the post 82 stuff.

After somewhat of a return to form with Whatever You Want, I thought Just Supposin' was the best album they'd released since Live! & my opinion hasn't changed since. They seemed to incorporate a touch of the post punk power pop feel & I thought it marked a new era beginning - how wrong could I have been!

Whatever You Want put aside that drive to crack America with arrangements and production and more or less got back to basics. For me, Just Supposin' carried that on and improved upon it. It was a brief period of sunlight before the clouds rolled in again but that's probably only in retrospect. I was certainly happy enough at the time. I loved the Just Supposin' album. I know many prefer Never Too Late but I'm not one of them. Good as it is.

I love the song until the harmonica starts. I don't know, I have a love/hate thing with the long ending. On one hand I really like it, maybe if it wasn't like that, I like it to be longer. On the other hand, I hate it being so long and similar.
