I received my copy of RAOTW remix and threw it into my cars disc player for the ride into work just then and cranked up the volume...then waited... Hold You Back blasts out of the speakers and it sounds fantastic!! I was instantly covered in goosebumps ;-) even loving the sound of Baby Boy! Can't wait for work to finish sos I can hear a couple more songs. Thanks John Eden...such a shame they cocked up the mix way back in '77.

Indeed it is. I also love Let's Ride and You Don't Own Me. John Eden should be knighted. And Pip Williams should be shot. As long as it's not in any vital organs. That'll be too quick.

It's the Emperors new clothes. The songs are still weak on the whole. They are a shadow of the band that a couple of years before recorded one of the greatest albums of all the times.

Well, I just can't believe how good this album sounds now. Alan sounds sensational and on some tracks it almost sounds like Spud is in the back of the car. A couple of weak songs still but overall I'd put it alongside of 'the golden era. Rockers Rollin', Too Far Gone, and You Don't Own Me are standouts imo. Out of curiosity I checked out the U.S. Billboard Top 100 for 1977 and the hits were quite ordinary mish mash. OK....if you were Quo management which song from RAOTW would you have pushed into The States. I'm leaning to For you.

I read somewhere on the old mb where he reckoned this was the original running order of the album, personally i think i prefer the running order on the original release however this new version soundwise absolutely blows the shit out of the `77 version its almost like having a new album HYB, RR, LR,CGYM,WAI & TFG being my personal favourites, i was like many who at the time thought wtf is this when it came out but John Eden has really brought these songs to life & given them what they always needed - some bollocks! the bass & the drums sound powerful something that was always missing originally no matter how much you turned the bass up on yer shitty little record player at the time it still sounded like it was recorded in a biscuit tin! Many thanks to John Eden for his hard work on this & its probably a very very long shot but it would be nice if he could have a go with IYCSTH - give it a harder edge & tone down the brass & backing singers? Hopefully there will also be a vinyl release of RAOTW quorp quofr quojc quoal

Bob Seger was still huge then...I'd pick Can't Give You More, or, to cash in on the country rock trend of the time, Dirty Water. But Rockers Rollin and RAOTW would have been great party tunes. The album could have made it here, but the original mix was problematic. Here's something I truly believe: it's not too late for them to crack the US market.

No need for explanations.
