Well, this film has finally arrived over here to view in cinemas but for only a very limited time. My brother and I took our seat along with…..only one other person in the whole cinema!! Unbelievable, this is Phil Lynott folks!! It was not advertised at all. I only knew of it through this board and have kept an eye out for its release. Thin Lizzy we’re massive over here back in the day. Anyway it was a thoroughly enjoyable film with live clips of Lizzy thrown in between some insights into his hard life as a child of an unknown father raised by his mother for a couple of years before she sent him over to Ireland to be brought up by his grandparents. Some great songs were played that I haven’t heard of which I’ll look into. Footage of their American concerts were brilliant and, as with Quo, just didn’t quite get there but they did actually hit the market with The Boys Are Back In Town. Very sad to see the demise of the band and tragically Phil’s death. Highly recommend this movie. Thanks curiousgirl for the heads up on this film.👍
