For some reason this is the only Deluxe that isnt available to stream. Haven't seen it at a reduced price either
Don't remember reading anything about the Paris gig on CD2. What's the sound like?
Is the remastered original album remaster noticeably different to the Tim Duran one? ๐บ๐

Just not labelled as a Deluxe version, as it's the only version of the album on Spotify The Live gig is a shite audience recording. Couldn't comment on the mastering being compared to Tim Turans mid 2000s effort.

It's on Spotify for me. Doesn't appear as "Deluxe", but it's there. Both it and the 2005 remaster is (there should be a button to it, after the last song, labeled "1 MORE RELEASE"). This can change from country to country, though.
The sound is very good. Very warm. I'm not an adept of Andy Pearce's masterings, but I'm a fair person; this one is very good.
EDIT: The above line is about the album sound, not the live gig. Quality of the live gig is poor.

Is the remastered original album remaster noticeably different to the Tim Duran one? ๐บ๐ As already said, pi$$ poor. A lot of the stuff that's come out in retrospect recently is the same. The Australian gig in the live box is also pretty grim. Comparisons with Tim Turan's remaster I couldn't really comment on. I imagine the differences will be minimal except to the trained ear - i.e. not mine

Pilledriver and the first batch (which includes Quo), I'd say no. The difference is there. The albums are way quieter and pleasant. Very warm. To anyone, I'd really recommend the Deluxe, over the 2005 version.

If they had not used it for the Live! box, we'd have been spared of the Paris gig as Australia '74 would've been a better bonus for Quo.

The Deluxe CD's arrived on Friday. Delivered by an Amazon courier coughing his guts up and not wearing gloves or anything protective But maybe I've just become paranoid Anyway, ain't listened to them yet. I'll get round to it. Let's face it, I have some time on my hands

Bugger all that... nothing beats the actual Quo album through a stylus on a record at full blast!! "through a stylus" it was called a needle when Piledriver was released. Two pence on the arm would cut a groove through any scratch. And who can forget the 'eggs and bacon' on an album that had not seen a sleeve for ages.

Regarding the dreaded scratch on the album, I use to colour over it with a texta pen. Did the job on most scratches.
