Another one of those tutorial type things, a full speed and a half speed version of the intro riff which goes straight into the lead guitar solo, this one is to inspire Victor to get a move on and start playing seriously again!. Just hope I got the notes right .

You're damn right it's never too late ! And you couldn't have come up with a better song to inspire me to pick up guitar playing again like I used to do. ! That song is in my all time top three ! I would be very happy with any help you can give me with that like for instance with these sort of videos. It will be a lot of work though. There are reasons for that. I will explain. I used to play guitar daily between my 13th and about 30th life year...I had become pretty ok at it, could play solos like in Roll over lay down, Fine fine fine and others without a problem. Then, life and health started interfering...many times I didn't even have the time to play guitar...only played occasionally anymore... and less and less...also started geting problems several times with cramps in my hands and some other more severe health probs... Lucky thing was that I also always had been interested in Synthesizers...they were easier to play for me at that point with my health probs but even that became less and less thanks to life. Many periods in those 20 last years I didn't even have instruments. But good and bad news: I have some instruments again, a synth and a guitar. About three years ago I started picking it all up again. The synths went ok, didn't take very long to get back to my old level... but the guitar playing will be more work...I lost the speed I had, have problems with bar chords sometimes but I am still determined to get back into it. So....if you are patient enough then I would appreciate any help with this at all cos I do wanna get back into guitar playing decently, if not solos then at least rhythm guitar, although I am stubborn enough to try the soloing anyway. I will practice on this video and will let you know how I go along

Anything at all you need help with Victor just ask, happy to help in any way I can, although I dont even regard myself as a musician, I actually more enjoy building guitars, all of mine you see are hand built from scratch in my workshop, and from that, one piece of advice I would give you straight away is to make sure your guitar is set up for optimum playing, there is nothing that will put you off playing more than a badly set up guitar with a high action, and especially if you want to play lead make sure your string guage isn't too heavy, I use 9 to 42, if you are playing rhythm only it will be a heavier guage but depends on your hand strength just how much, you probably know all that stuff anyway.
One very important part of action that many people dont look at is the height of your strings at the nut, getting them as low as possible without fret buzz here can make a dramatic effect on its playability further up the neck.
Another hugely important thing to give anyone inspiration to play is getting a tone that you are happy with, I have often found myself just abandoning a project simply because I cant find the sound I want, find / get a sound that inspires you to play and its half the battle.
So get stuck in bud and I wish you all the best.
