After frontman Noddy Holder retired from the band in 1992, Jim Lea followed suit thereafter. The other two band members - Dave Hill & Don Powell - carried on working together under the name Slade II. In 2002, they narrowed their name back down to Slade. Within the past 24 hours, it has been announced that the two men (friends since 1963) are no longer together......and that there are now 'two' versions of Slade - see link below: - www.loudersound.com/news/slade-dummer-don-powell-departs-dave-hills-slade-starts-don-powells-sladeAnother 1970's glam rock outfit The Sweet also has two versions of the band - Andy Scott's Sweet and Steve Priest's Sweet. Some posters on this board are of the view that there are two Quo's - John Coghlan's Quo and (Francis Rossi's) Status Quo.So, what next? Will there be at some point Brian May's Queen and Roger Taylor's Queen?

I think you mean Don, Cozy, though easy to fall out with hasn't been around for some time.

JC today posted "Get well soon Don after your stroke". You have to wonder did the stress of all this bring one on?
