Thats a low amount imo &, i expect Rossi wanted more then what it has sold for. It must have met his reserve or it wouldn’t have sold. I know I’m biased but I did think it would go for more. It’s outside of the top 150 guitars sold at auction. Which shows there was no interest from the USA where the highest prices come from.

Any idea who may have bought it? Me. I've already sawn it up into 150 neat little bits to sell off at a grand each. You too can now own a bit of the legendary green Tele at an affordable price. PM me. Sharing is caring, especially at this time of year.

Ta ...as that's the famous bit I'd be happy to spend 2k for first dibs. Cheers

So... did the proceeds from the sale go to charity or not? I've seen various comments mentioning Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy but none of Quo's official announcements on social media have mentioned any charitable cause and neither does the Bonhams website. And surely it's customary for auction houses to waive commission on charity auctions? Hmmm.

Not a bad investment going from 75 pounds to 95,000 pounds in 50 years. I wonder if the guitars original owner in Glasgow knew of its following history.

Thank you for the clarification as I'm not too familiar with auctions and stuff!
