Once again the management have excelled themselves in releasing a bargain video that has nothing to do with the song. Quite what the concept is supposed to be is beyond me.

That is shocking...
I can think of one but I don't think fans will like.
Quo are about working class men, who are all getting on a bit and no longer have the long hair they used to.
I didn't watch it all the way through. So I could be wrong.

If I ever want to look like a well groomed David Crosby I now know where to go...

I see it as an attempt to rebrand themselves and come across as "hip" to a younger audience, perhaps... considering you only see 2 older people during the whole video
I don't get why they didn't just film them performing the song at each show and make a compilation promo video from the best shots at each show... it wouldn't have been that hard considering they play it at the same tempo as the album version.

Well, the album is fantastic. I just hope not too many people see that video.

Or a video like Going down town tonight. They would have been better off not bothering. It reminds of that show with Dave Lee Travis where they made a video for Down down. Except it didn’t have band clips. The video had nothing to do with the song.

I've now watched it properly all the way through.
There are 3 older Quo fans, men, in their 50s or 60s. We have the t-shirt, the album, the chat about Quo. And the young barber singing along turns out to be a fan who gets his hair trimmed at the end.
I think its saying time for the older fans to make way for the younger ones.
I don't understand the olde-worlde look of the street, barber's shop. It might meant to be Brixton in South London. I haven't been there for years but I did see a sign which said Brixton. But I think its meant to show the working class roots/fan-base of the band.

If they are planning on relying on a younger fan base they will be playing at the Dog n Duck on the next set of gigs as they no longer tour.

Probably the most bizarre Quo video I’ve ever seen. If there was a message in there it went so far over my head I didn’t see it🤨🤔

It's OK!
I posted about finding the TV mime of the song difficult to watch.
This is easy to watch
Not sure who shows promo videos these days? No point spending money on them
For me this makes more sense than a straight mime

When the camera panned up to the barbers face when the vocals came in, I was expecting it to be Rossi or someone from the band Neither of the barbers seemed to be all that into miming the words, and I've just noticed they've got the Backbone promo showing on the TV, just minus the lyrics I suppose it was done cheap... 1 camera on location in a barbers shop... few takes just so they can get some different shots, and then some B-Roll footage of the bridge, traffic, shops and a random guy lifting weights.

Agree with most of what's been said. I think that it's meant to be shot in 'Liberty Lane' obviously. I thought they would maybe show more action from other shops and other parts of Liberty Lane but they just stay in the barber's shop. Definitely too much focus on the cutting of 'Quo fan's hair!
I think the thought behind it is to focus on the chorus (ie. Liberty Lane) rather than the band this time, whilst putting in enough clues so everyone knows which band it is. It was a bit like the 'Mystery Guest' round on A Question of Sport' at times!!
