Liberty Lane gets an exclusive play on the Ken Bruce Show tomorrow ( Monday)on Radio 2.
I like it- especially the chorus.
It reminds me a bit of early 80s Quo- I could see it fitting on Just Supposing

Is Liberty Lane likely to be the first single then? It did sound pretty commercial in the live performance on YouTube. Catchy tune, could do well with decent exposure.

Will reserve judgement til I've listened properly on a decent system. The YT clip is from the first night it was ever played
JSD wasn't representative of HT.If Liberty Lane is the most commercial offering on the new album then we probably shouldn't complain. Let's wait and see

www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0006m5p One hour forty five it. Sounds more guitar oriented in places than anything on Thirsty Work- the chorus has real drive, I feel. I really like it

Boring after a short while and I hope they will pay some money to the starving Boys from the Rolling Stones for using the riff of Let´s Spend The Night Together.

What is guitar orientated? Apart from the odd song aren’t all Status Quo songs this. Guitar orientated in places? I find it a little sad for people to constantly try to strengthen the case for new songs by saying they would have fitted in on an album that only one member of the band was an ‘official member’ then.

It was when you made the comparison with Thirsty Work, which isn’t guitar driven for me. And I wasn’t trying to strengthen a case, I was just saying what it reminded me of. At the end of the day it boils down to whether you like it or not ( no Thirsty Work song pun intended!!)

If it floats your boat fair enough.

I haven't mentioned any particular album it could fit on, I wouldn't have said Thisty Work though if I was to. You don't like it (no surprise) I do like it (also no surprise), we probably won't agree much where the band is concerned and that's fine with me.

What’s with the cowbell at the beginning? Its ok but very flat sounding production. It could possibly be one of the better things since HT,but is light years away from anything the real Quo would have recorded Cheers
