They're alright tracks.
Don't particularly rate them highly but, inoffensive. Can't say I'd listen again tbh. Just don't grab me.
Go Go Go and All That Money were the last original tracks to grab me

Just listened to that Ken Bruce replay and have to say I think it's good. Rossi sounds closer to his 70's nasal vocal here for some reason on this, don't know if others think the same or how you go about trying to get that in a studio, if that was ever the case. Good riff, catchy chorus, sounds good just through laptop speakers. Good choice for Radio 2 and Absolute Classic Rock in my opinion. You can go with something like Cut Me Some Slack on Planet Rock, so you get best of both worlds then. Yep I like it, still seems like it could be best thing since Heavy Traffic, but need the album now. Was thinking the same about Francis’ vocals 👍

Bland and rather mediocre pop rock ditties. Not cringeworthy and certainly listenable but hard rock Quo or a Quo of any quality they are not. Would fit right at home on a Francis Rossi solo album which, essentially, is what this really is.

It appears some are desperate to compare these two songs to long list glories.
Oh well... I think I have heard this about every time Status Quo has released an album since well Back to Back.
To put it simply the band changed. They now have only one member of the classic line up.
I like to judge music on its merits. If I heard either on the wireless, I wouldn’t hate either. However I’d think they are ok but wouldn’t search them out to find out more.,
The one thing I would say is the production is better than its been for a while to my ears. They aren’t interested in a raw sound but it’s better than the sterile production that has put me off songs that could have been produced to sound more rock and less sanitised like Two way traffic.

You mean he's had his nose re-tuned?
There does seem to be a will here to re-create a Quo sound for the present day.
Now all he has to do is work out how they did it in the first place, and do that ...
He KNOWS. It's in the book. It's not going to happen, though. It doesn't excite him any more.

An excellent modern Quo song with hints of 70s vocal harmonies and rich double tracked Rossi vocal. I really like it. Don't expect Piledriver - that ship sailed long ago. This is a song that, compared to the other over-produced nonsense on radio, stands out, is really catchy, credible and crucially works well live. Well done Quo.

Exactly - this is how I live and assess things now. 1975 was a looonnnggggg time ago.

Well I have had a listen to Liberty Lane a couple of times. Chugging along quite nicely and tuneful. Not a bad effort at all to be fair. The problem for me about going overboard over these songs is they just don't give me a rush of blood. Am I asking too much ? Just imagine you are pissed at a friend's 60th or 50th Birthday bash in a big hall having endured a lots of 80's disco and Down Down or Caroline got played..you would probably be up there head banging your poor old body to pieces...if Liberty Lane came on you would be tapping your toe relieved to hear something different..thats it really just different..but that is not what I want from quo I can find it elsewhere..yes yes I know those days are gone, just saying not a negative view of their latest effort which might be a grower.
