Pride of place in my living room is this framed poster www.amazon.com/Status-Quo-Live-LAMINATED-Measures/dp/B016WPXSJQUnfortunately my other half has slightly spoiled it for me Rick and Alan both have a big ironed crease right down the middle!! Remember Rick saying how much he hated jeans being ironed like that and he was very particular Looks like somebody different was on ironing duty that night of the tour! |

Cool pic. Do you mean she pointed out the ironed jeans? My first thought was that she'd accidentally ironed it somehow.  I'm sure I'm wrong with that though. |

Good heavens young man, have you any idea how difficult it is for we housekeepers just to get a newly washed pair of jeans to lie down on the ironing board? They are lucky we don't nail them down! Plus how all demin garments are designed to auto-flatpack with random folds in the washing machine.
I think the Angels probably had the right idea about just leaving them "on" till they drop off.

This is probably a good time for somebody to dig out the "rp and the jeans in his life" article where I think he talks about his dislike for a crease down the middle! Also remember him saying he owned 600 pairs!!!

This is probably a good time for somebody to dig out the "rp and the jeans in his life" article where I think he talks about his dislike for a crease down the middle! Also remember him saying he owned 600 pairs!!! Little White Lies from Rick!...fairly sure Patty B said it was more like half dozen pairs of jeans! |

You could be right! She did throw a load of Rick's clothes out of a top window and more out of the front door that were aimed at him. Then his shoes followed shortly after! That probably did hit Rick where it hurt! A curious thing...Francis was always happy to say in the past that he preferred to be in just a pair of jeans and a jumper and the white socks of course. He even talked in the past about how he didn't spend on clothes and preferred to spend on cigarettes etc etc! Though recently he has been saying how much he likes to look smart when being out and even when he's at home. Just doesn't sound like the Francis I thought I had some understanding of at one time and the obvious differences in the past between him and Rick. People change, but I didn't see that change coming with Francis. As you say, Patty's comment had been about a previous interview with Rick. She says that he stated that he had 120 pairs of jeans. Though she reckons he had 4 to 6 pairs at her last count. He had at one time 8 pairs but had used 2 of them to patch up the others! |

In fairness to Rick he may well have had more jeans when he was, ahem, with somebody else
If not, 600 is quite some exaggeration!
Was Rick prone to exaggeration? With his lifestyle I wouldn't have thought he'd need to exaggerate anything
Could he have been an insecure show off??
