I really like LL from what I've heard from this clip...it usually sounds even better on CD and via a good sound system...
I might get back to comment on the other one…
Edit: CMSS has a really infectious riff and a very nice solo....I like that one.

Seen a few comments about the drumming...
...hard to tell from YT but the drums do sound louder in the mix, the overall mix sounds more like a band. Rick's replacement also louder, I think.
I've not seen this line up of SQ and wasn't going to. But if I like the album (and I certainly like slack) and the set gets a revamp, I can see myself checking them out.

Thanks for the threads magicfingertips . I'm going to merge them with the existing thread we have on these 2 songs. Great to see the interest in new Quo material.

Unfortunately Quoincidence , the opening riff reminds me of this... I'd say it's more similar to "Don't Think It Matters", just sped up The first five notes are identical to the Railroad riff, both the pitch and the rythm. Don't Think It Matters begins with a fractional pick-up, it has similar rythm but not the same pitch. Both Railroad and CMSS is played one string/note at the time while the DTIM riff is based on two strings/notes at the time. When they change the key after a couple of times it reminds me of the key change in DTIM riff though so maybe you're both right. Both Railroad and DTIM has killer riffs and I don't think CMSS is even close but it's a good try and fun to hear something new.

Agreed...It would have better if you kept quiet. You can't expect Musiktruhe not to hijack a thread related to today's band surely?

Which song has the perfect number of words for you? If the current band did a cover of AB Blues, he would probably say that one.
