Was he more comfortable with his album with John Du Cann than with what Quo were doing then?

More questions:
Your relationship with the blues is something I can't wrap my head around. On one hand, you definitely have talent to play in a bluesy manner, as has been proved countless times. Yet, you always insist on all your influences being second-hand such as Peter Green or Stan Webb. Did you not ever have the curiosity to delve into the realm of Black American blues? Personally, I think any guitar player can learn something from listening to the many Chicago or Memphis greats. And guys like B.B. King, Otis Rush, Freddie King or Buddy Guy (who's still around and still hot, at over 80!) were not past their prime when Quo started.
Will King of the Doghouse ever be released the way it was originally intended by you? And are we ever gonna hear the entirety of "Flying Debris", the album you did with Bernie Frost? (What's Bernie up to these days anyway?)
