I get the feeling that, away from the adrenaline and adoration he gets from the crowd playing live, Francis doesn't like Status Quo very much. Doesn't like his former self very much. Too many bad memories. Wishes he'd got that solo career. Critical claim on solely his own terms. His own fault and nobody else. He had a perfect side 1 opening song in Margy Time.

A significant misquote on the reunion... 'he says apart from the fans were satisfied'. He also recognises the euphoria.
So he does think something good came from it.

He was on Radio 2 Graham Norton today. He just shrugs off what he believes is all Hype and exaggeration about Quo And about how much he had supposedly spent on Narcotics as he called it. Although he admitted it was a lot of money but no where near 1 1/2 Million. He shrugs Quo off as basically ‘ Not Pink Flloyd ‘ even tough he realised Quo had become big in the mid 70’s. What he was basically trying to say I think is that Quo hit a formula but never were or are never likely to be taken seriously despite what the stats say. He hopes he does get asked difficult questions and not run of the mill crap in the ‘ Talk too much Tour’. I don’t think Francis would ever shy away from giving his honest opinion which I admire him for. Even if everyone disagrees it’s what he believes and he stands by it.

Read it today, nothing ground breaking, just FR being 'FR', never seems to mention anyone outside of the Frantic Four, anyone else notice that too? Is he obsessed that we're obsessed with what made him who he is today? Take away the Frantic Four era and it's been generally 'down hill' career and product wise? The 'solo career' never really happened, you would think he'd be grateful for what Quo achieved in those Glory Years...I'm just a long term Fan of course

Very strange that he is still bitter about being snubbed by Elvis Costello 34 years ago. Clearly this shows the side of his personality that has led to fall outs with all his frantic four band mates. Perhaps they all told him his country stuff was shite and he just can't deal with it.
