There he goes again on his own... Well not quite, complete with hired hands and electronic vocal "help". I was listening to Whitesnake in the car and it's never been the same without Micky and Bernie, not only guitar contributions but their superlative song writing.

If only the band he took to America to make dollars had included Micky , Bernie , Jon , Ian and Neil . Who knows what they might have achieved ........musically I think they would have been better , though ironically probably not financially . To me they were up there with the giants of music upto Come An Get It , slipped a little with the next two albums , then went to chase the MTV dollar ........ a real shame

I think it is an okay song, better than I was expecting, possibly because I went in with such low expectations. Coverdale’s voice obviously isn’t what it once was, but I thought on this it sounded a bit more natural than the previous two albums where it has sounded very processed.
The guitar sound I thought was better than what they have released of late, again slight more natural, the last few albums have had a very harsh, and again, processed sound.
The big thing missing from me though is the bass, where is it? People go on about Marsden & Moody not being there anymore. But for me the basslines of Neil Murray were a huge factor in the sound of early Whitesnake. Those walking basslines have some brilliant melodies and were a real highlight of the early stuff.
